The beach is literally designed for connecting with yourself and nature. At low tide, the shore zone becomes even wider and consists exclusively of soft and snow-white sand. And it is so pleasing to the touch that the definition of “gentle rays of sun” can be applied to the sand. It comes as no surprise that the locals call the beach a “welcome mat”. Despite such beauty, it's difficult to find a place to relax on the beach at high tide, but you can enjoy a picturesque landscape with a well-drawn path from parking to wooden scaffolding. So, going on a trip to the coast, it's worth thinking not only about the weather, but also about everyday difficulties. For vacation, you'll need sunscreen and water, as there is practically no shade on the beach.
Gold Rock Beach stretches tens of kilometers from Freeport on the island of Grand Bahama (or the Grand Bahama Island), the most convenient way to which is by renting a car, a scooter or a taxi, as well as part of a group excursion tour. On weekends and in the high season it's very crowded, as a large number of locals spend their holidays here along with tourists. But on weekdays, the shore may look almost deserted. You'll have to pay for the entrance to the park, as well as for parking, which is only a five-minute walk from the shoreline.

The main thing here is to choose an appropriate accommodation, because only small hotels with a minimum range of services are located near the beach. This is the best option for relaxation with own family with an outdoor pool, a nanny, a tennis court and a fitness center. There are no grocery kiosks in the area of the beach, so you should take care of food and drinks yourself and in advance in order to purchase snacks on the highway or in the nearest town.
For tourists there is available not only swimming, but also active entertainment, in the form of snorkeling, kayaking or boating, a boat can be rented near the beach. The only negative point is the fact that there are no toilets within the beach zone, so a long stay with children is not very comfortable.
