Loblolly Bay beach

Getting to Anegada, the northernmost of the British Virgin Islands, is actually not so simple: and in its inaccessibility lies its main charm. On the beach of Loblolly Bay, stretching for many kilometers, there are both all the necessary amenities for relaxation, and a place for everyone who is not too lazy to come here. Taking ferry tickets, and then renting a car or ordering a taxi, you will ensure the most comfortable and relaxing holiday.

Beach description

The main covering here is fine white sand. It also covers the bottom which is different in different parts of the beach: in some places, water entry is more smooth and shallow, and in the others, deep and sharp. Loblolly Bay doesn't have strong winds, so high waves are arre here. In spite of the beach size, you will find showers, water closets and free sling chairs with umbrellas in any point of this beach. Don't forget to visit one of local bars: they serve delicious cocktails and lobster dishes. And on your way back, you can mount the highest point of the island, situated nearby. From here, the beautiful view will open both on Anegada and on the Caribbean Sea.

When is the best time to go?

Since the islands have a tropical climate, the air temperature during the year is practically unchanged and rarely drops below 24 degrees. The same temperature level is noted when determining the water temperature. The wettest and most comfortable months to stay – are from September to November, but the hurricane season also falls on the same period. Therefore, the best time to relax – is the beginning of December or May and the end of April.
