The Serra da Arrabida Nature Reserve is a real natural gem, stunning in its beauty, just an hour's drive from Lisbon. A mountain range at the foot of which there are kilometers of beaches with soft sand and crystal clear Atlantic water.

Serra da Arrabida Nature Park

The Arrabida mountain range offers stunning views of the Troia Peninsula, the ocean and the green massif of the protected area.
In order to fully enjoy these views, it is best to rent a car or book a tour. And to visit the beaches, it is quite possible to do with public transport — an hour by Fertagus train to Setubal.

How to get to the beaches of Serra da Arrabida (Setubal)
You can get to Setubal by Fertagus train. You can catch a train at Roma-Areeiro station (green metro line) or at Sete Rios station (blue metro line, Jardim Zoológico station).
A one-way ticket costs €4.45, travel time is 1 hour.
From July 29, 2017 and presumably until the end of summer, the beaches of Arrabida can be reached by municipal bus from Setúbal. The minibus runs every half hour from 9:00 to 20:00 and costs 0.50€. Departs from Casa da Baía (marked on the map) and goes to Praia de Albarquel beach.
You can get to the beaches by taxi or call Uber . There is also a 751 bus that runs from Setúbal to Outão (near Praia da Figueirinha beach)
