Where to spend a beach holiday with children in Europe

If you're looking to take the kids on a trip this summer, why not head to an all-inclusive resort in Europe? There's no better place for beaches and water sports than Italy and Spain. And even if your kids are too young for swimming lessons or surfing, there are plenty of fun activities for them to try out: tennis, mini golf and volleyball being some of favourites.

Lignano, Italy

Lignano has it all. It's a beach resort with the best lido in Italy, and it also has an aqua park that includes water slides, pools and play areas for children. There are plenty of restaurants and bars where you can enjoy good food and drink while watching the sea on one side or looking out over Lignano on the other (the town also boasts some wonderful architecture).

For those who prefer nightlife there is plenty of opportunity for this too - there are clubs that play music until late into the evening with dance floors as well as quieter pubs where you can sit outside with a drink while listening to live music being played by local musicians in one of several piazzas around town.

Santa Ponsa, Spain

Santa Ponsa is a popular tourist destination on the Spanish island of Majorca, famous for its long beach and soft sand. It's also one of the best places to spend a holiday with children in Europe, thanks to its proximity to many attractions including water parks and theme parks such as Aqualandia. The town itself has plenty of shops, restaurants and bars so you won't be short of things to do if you feel like taking a break from the sunbathing!

Fig Tree, Cyprus

The Fig Tree, located in the southern part of Cyprus, is a family-friendly hotel with plenty of activities for children. The beach area has lots of sand and shallow water for kids to play in. There's also a pool with slides and a playground with swings, slide and climbing frames so you can keep your little ones happy while you relax on the sunbeds or enjoy lunch at their restaurant.

The rooms have air conditioning and satellite TV so you can catch up on all the latest news while enjoying some downtime after spending time outdoors with your children or taking them out sightseeing around the island. If you're looking for somewhere different from normal holidays abroad then why not try visiting one of these amazing destinations instead?

Rivazzurra, Italy

Rivazzurra is a small town on the Adriatic coast of Italy, just north of Rimini and south of Ravenna. It's famous for its sandy beaches and clear waters, which attract many tourists in summertime. The town itself has plenty to offer families with young children: there are shops selling toys, games and souvenirs; restaurants serving traditional Italian food; activities like surfing lessons; and historical buildings such as a 16th-century castle overlooking the sea (the Castle of Rivazzurra).

Finikoudes, Cyprus

The Finikoudes area of Cyprus is one of the best places to go with children for a beach holiday. It's safe, clean and has shallow water that's warm enough for kids to swim in. There are plenty of restaurants and cafes nearby, so you don't have to worry about eating out if you don't want to cook yourself. And if you get tired of being on the beach all day long (who could blame you?), there are plenty of activities available in Finikoudes itself: horse riding, quad biking and ziplining are just some examples!

Viareggio, Italy

Viareggio is a town in Italy located on the coast of the Mediterranean Sea. It is known for its beaches, which are ideal for swimming, snorkeling and diving. There are also many activities that you can do with your children while they're staying at one of these resorts--like horseback riding or playing mini golf. Viareggio has many restaurants and cafes where you can eat lunch or dinner with your family after spending time at the beach all day long!

Playa de Muro, Spain

Playa de Muro is a beach that has everything. It's sandy and clean, so it's great for kids. It's also good for families, couples and singles who want to have fun in the sun. The water is shallow enough for kids to play in without getting too deep but still offers plenty of opportunities for swimming and snorkeling (which you can hire at one of the nearby restaurants).

If you're looking to get away from it all on your next holiday then why not try Playa de Muro? You'll find yourself surrounded by friendly locals who love nothing more than chatting over a cold beer or glass of sangria after work in one of their many bars and restaurants dotted along this long stretch of sand.

Poniente, Spain

Poniente is a small town on the Spanish island of Majorca. It has a long beach and a gentle slope into the sea, which makes it ideal for families with young children who want to spend time in the water but don't want to worry about their kids getting too deep or strong currents pulling them out. The town itself is quiet, with just enough restaurants and shops to keep you entertained if you're staying at one of its hotels (or renting an apartment). The beach itself is clean and shallow, making it easy for kids to play safely all day long--and because it's so shallow, there aren't any waves either!

Do not forget about the cultural program, which you can organize by ordering an excursion with a local guide in Mallorca.
