Santa Ponsa beach
Santa Ponsa is a large sandy beach in the resort town of the same name, located 20 km away from Palma and 6 km away from Magaluf. The beach was awarded the Blue flag for its cleanliness and environmental friendliness. Clean sea, perfect climate and amazing landscapes attract tons of tourists here. The beach, with a picturesque pine park behind it, can fit a large amount of visitors craving sun and sea.

Santa Ponsa, located in a bay, impresses with its size: the beach is 1,3 km long and 300 m wide.
Features include:

- average crowdedness.
The beach is equipped with:
- a rental store with umbrellas, sunbeds, equipment for water sports;
- showers and paid toilets;
- playgrounds for children;
- sports playgrounds.
Unlike the noisy Magaluf, where tireless students and foam parties create the loud atmosphere, with music blaring in the night, Santa Ponsa is very calm and quiet. Families with children and elderly people prefer to come here. Not a lot of young visitors can be met.
When is it better to go
The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.

Santa Ponsa offers a lot of various accomodation options for the visitors. First of all, the city has a lot of hotels, apartments, private guest houses, flats, houses and whole villas available for rent - it all depends on what a tourist can afford. The preferred options, however, are the front line hotels.
