Beach description

Cala Millor, a stunning beach stretching over 3 km in length and approximately 30 m in width, is nestled within one of the quaint bays that dot this region of Mallorca. Its exceptional facilities and comprehensive beach infrastructure make it a favorite among young families with children, senior tourists, and adrenaline seekers. Just a stone's throw away, beyond a charming rocky cape, lies the inviting Cala Bona resort beach.

  • The shores of Cala Millor Beach are adorned with soft, fine white sand, interspersed with delicate rocky outcrops.
  • An even, gently sloping entry into the sea is particularly reassuring for families with small children and older visitors.
  • Accessible ramps are thoughtfully provided for individuals with disabilities.
  • The firm seabed, free of dips or jagged rocks, ensures a comfortable swimming experience without the need for special footwear.
  • Avid swimmers and those enchanted by underwater scenery will find themselves wading through the shallow waters for a bit before reaching the desired depth.
  • For those seeking thrills, popular activities include windsurfing, parasailing, and scuba diving.
  • Access to the beach is complimentary. While some visitors opt to bring their own amenities such as deck chairs, sling chairs, and umbrellas, renting a deck chair with an umbrella is available for around €9. Many seasoned travelers choose to purchase umbrellas for convenience.
  • The bay's waters are invitingly warm, never dipping below +25°C, with moderate wave heights.
  • However, it is worth noting that the beach is not sheltered from the wind.

Optimal Time for a Visit

The best time to visit Mallorca for a beach vacation is typically during the late spring to early autumn months, when the weather is warm and sunny. Here's a breakdown of the optimal periods:

  • Late Spring (May to June): This is an ideal time to enjoy the beaches with fewer crowds and pleasant temperatures. The sea might still be a bit cool for swimming, but the weather is perfect for sunbathing and exploring.
  • Summer (July to August): These are the hottest months, perfect for beachgoers looking to spend most of their time in the water. However, be prepared for the peak tourist season, which means more crowded beaches and higher prices.
  • Early Autumn (September to October): The temperatures remain warm, but the crowds start to thin out, making it a great time for those seeking a more relaxed beach experience. The water is also still warm enough for swimming and water sports.

Regardless of the time you choose, Mallorca's stunning beaches, crystal-clear waters, and Mediterranean charm make it a fantastic beach vacation destination.
