Port de Soller beach

Port de Soller is one of the central beaches on the northwest coast.

Beach description

The beach occupies almost the entire length of the bay, which has the shape of a crescent. It is not easy to find places to relax in this part of the island because the steep rocky coast almost everywhere cut off the approach to the sea. But here guests get access to a sand strip 500 meters long and about 20 meters wide.

This place is not oversaturated with tourists, so you can safely choose a hotel and enjoy relatively free space and gorgeous views. The beach is suitable for lovers of swimming in open water, since the descent of the coastal strip steeply goes deep enough. In between swimming, you can relax in cafes which the local promenade abounds. The bay protects from the winds, but steep waves can often be found here.

The beach and the village are integrated in the mountain range Serra de Tramuntana, which ran along the entire north-west coast. These places are great for those who like mountain walks. In your free time, you can also find a number of exciting cycling routes. And during city walks you can visit the Port de Soller maritime museum, which is located in the ancient temple.

When is it better to go

The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.
