Beach description
This area near the large Capdepera locality was granted special status about 30 years ago, which meant that all the construction nearby had to be stopped. So now any visitor can come here and enjoy the bright sun, soft white sand and seemingly endless blue water with no obstacles. It's safe to swim here even during average waves.
But the fact that Cala Agulla is technically considered to be a nature reserve means that it's not equipped for vacations. The 500 m long and 50 m wide coastline has umbrellas and sunbeds, and a cheap parking lot is located nearby. The distance between the beach and Capdepera's center is about 1,6 km. There's also a restaurant and a beach bar nearby.
This is a perfect place for partying. But even during the high season you can go to the northern part of the sandy plat, lay in the pine shadows or play volleyball. This part of the beach is usually the calmest. If you want, you can rent a catamaran, a kayak or ride a banana boat. If you're tired of sunbathing, don't hesitate to explore the island and walk around the nature reserve area.
When is it better to go
The beach season on the coast of Spain falls on the period from May to October. The water and air temperature reaches the most comfortable levels, thereby guaranteeing tourists a perfect vacation.
