Beaches in Morocco

Legzira Beach takes the 29th place in the list of 40 most beautiful beaches in the world. Such a high praise among tourists for the beach was provided by natural clay-sand arches of red color that go straight into the ocean and washed by its steep waves. This little-known and secluded beach is located in the south of Morocco in the village of the same name that is 10 km from Sidi Ifni and 150 km from Agadir. Unfortunately, a couple of years ago, one of the 4 arches called the elephant’s collapsed, and only a pile of stones remained in its place.

Agadir beach is located in one of the most magnetic and attractive cities of Morocco, which until recently was a small fishing village. White architecture with national patterns and finishes is surrounded by lush palm trees, tropical trees and picturesque Atlas foothills, colorful local market, beautiful promenade and the main attraction of the city – spacious beach.

It is also called “Perle Bleue”, that is, “blue pearl” for its clear blue water and white fine sand. The beach has a developed infrastructure and promises its visitors a pleasant vacation.

Located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, Essaouira Beach ranks 61 in the hundred best beaches in the world. This is one of the most windy places in Morocco. It is often used for international competitions in water sports. The beach is part of the urban area of the port city of Essaouira (the old name of the city is Mogador) located 160 km from Marrakech between Agadir and Casablanca. Another advantage of the beach is picturesque sunsets, panoramic views of the ocean.

Martil beach is located in eponymous Moroccan resort town. Tourism is main source of income of the city, rest in this part of Morocco is always comfortable and exciting. There are golf clubs, shopping centers, restaurants, nightclubs and tourist complexes in city. Advantage of Martil beach is proximity to one of the largest cities in the country - Tangier, next to which is Boukhalef airport. Main attraction of resort city of Martil is the beach.

Oualidia Lagoon beach is located in cozy resort town of Oualidia, whose population is not more than 5500 people. Ain Diab Beach is one of Casablanca's main urban beaches, a popular destination for Moroccans to come with a family. It is located on the coast of the Atlantic Ocean, 3 km from the town. People come here to swim, practice surfing, take a walk along the coast or sit in a coastal cafe just admiring the picturesque sunset and the power of the ocean waves.

Moulay Bousselham is located between Tangier and Rabat in small town of Moulay Morocco. Beach occupies the 3-rd place among the beaches of Morocco. Moulay Bousselham is located on the Atlantic ocean, also located near quiet lagoon reserve Merje Zerga, where you can meet rare birds.

Plage deTemara also known as Tamara is located in suburbs, 16 km from Rabat the capital of Morocco in the small beach town of Tamara. City is provincial, but very colorful with white and blue architecture and beautiful beach. Recently, shores of Tamara beach are partially built up by private households, which significantly reduced area of the beach. But this did not affect the popularity of beach among tourists and locals. Because of large beach area, always looks free and not crowded.

Haouzia beach is located near town of Haouzia, near Azzemur. A distinctive feature of this beach is a shipwrecked Japanese ship, which is majestically located near beach line and creates a unique sea landscape.

Imsouane is located in the surf town of Imsouane, 82 km north of Agadir and has been named one of the 27 most beautiful beaches in the world by Forbes. Beach is located between Agadir and Essaouira, which are known for excellent surfing conditions and lively fish markets.

Dragon Beach is located in paradise of Morocco in a enigmatic and mysterious place called Dakhla in the Western Sahara.
