Senegal is located in the westernmost part of Africa. The territory of this country combines the desert landscapes of the Sahara in the north, a salt-water lake with pink water and wonderful rain forests towards the south. Here you can find buffaloes and leopards, red monkeys and crocodiles, a large variety of birds, and in the ocean – tropical fish, manatees, river dolphins, and rare sea turtles. Senegalese culture is very engaging, their markets, fabrics, and cheeses, as well as architecture. Read more about the best beaches in Senegal in our rating.
