Haouzia beach

Haouzia beach is located near town of Haouzia, near Azzemur. A distinctive feature of this beach is a shipwrecked Japanese ship, which is majestically located near beach line and creates a unique sea landscape.

Beach description

Haouzia beach has a length of about 500 meters, covering the territory from resort of Mazagan beach to mouth of river Oum Er-Rbia. Endless sandy beach combined with bright blue Atlantic ocean create the feeling of an uninhabited island. Haouzia is shallow beach, but waves are not uncommon in part of Morocco.

There is a bus service to Haouzia beach, as well as a taxi service from the centre of Azzemur to the beach in summer. Beach looks great out of season but in the period from June to October is crowded, but on the edges of beach dunes you can still find a secluded and peaceful place. Not long ago, beach has undergone reconstruction, as a result of which there were showers, toilets, and summer beach inspectors work. Promenade has also been renovated, offering excellent views of the Atlantic ocean.

When is the best time to go?

The beach season in Morocco opens in April and comes to a close in October. The best months to visit the resorts of this country are May-June and September-October.
