Relax on Tsambika beach, Rhodes
This beach is located in the east of the Greek island of Rhodes and is a sandy expanse, surrounded on all sides by rocky mountains. The coastline is quite wide, and its length is about one kilometer, which allows travelers to safely enjoy their vacation without interfering with each other.
Tsambika beach is rightfully called one of the most beautiful on the island: huge rocks, as if overgrown with green moss, carefully hug a piece of golden land, opening up a magical view of the endless water surface.
The beach got its name thanks to the monastery, located on top of one of the mountains. Inside it is stored a great shrine - the miraculous icon of the Virgin Mary. According to legend, the image disappeared from the Cypriot temple several times and after returning miraculously appeared again on Mount Tsambika. Subsequently, it was decided to build a monastery of the same name on this site. Every year, thousands of pilgrims overcome the difficult path to the top to ask the Saint for the fulfillment of their innermost desires.
At the very beginning of the beach on the sand lies a huge stone boulder, once broken off from the rock, and now painted in the colors of the Greek flag. Now it is a kind of local landmark and a business card that can be seen from passing ships. With its shape, the block really resembles the white and blue symbol of the country fluttering in the wind.
The entrance to the water is gentle and long, so Tsambika is a place ideal for families with children. The sea here is always calm and warm, because the mountains from all sides reliably protect the bay from the wind. The beach is well equipped: sun loungers with umbrellas are placed throughout, shower columns and changing cabins are everywhere, and the variety of cafes allows you to satisfy the most refined taste. In addition, there is an excellent selection of excursions and water activities.
But despite this, there are always few people on the beach, because public transport rarely goes here, and there are no resort hotels. The nearest villages are located a few kilometers away, so around this sunny corner there is only a wild, deserted wasteland.
This place is ideal for families and lovers of peace and quiet, for those who are tired of the bustle of the city and dream of enjoying wonderful views and crystal clear water. Here, time seems to stop, freezing at a point of harmony and complete relaxation.
