Hawaiian Islands - a fairy tale in reality
What can you say about Hawaii other than what has been said so many times already? These are beautiful, tropical islands that have some of the most amazing scenery on earth. There are seven inhabited islands, but in this article we will only cover three of them.
Oahu
Oahu is the third largest in the group of islands known as Hawaii. It is also the most populous island. People usually start their tour of the islands from Oahu, where many wonderful sights can be found.
To the left of Waikiki Beach is the famous Diamond Head Crater, which is a popular hiking destination for many people.
Another well-known attraction that is a must during your stay on this island is the Pearl Harbor Memorial. It is a monument erected as a symbol of great respect and reverence for the thousands of people who lost their lives there, it is a worthy reminder of the horrors of war.
Maui
Maui has been called the "Magic Island", and for good reason. From beautiful beaches to fantastic landscapes, this island has it all. Stroll along the seaside streets of Lahaina, and the beautiful beaches of Kaanapali, and you'll discover why so many people love Maui.
This is one of the best places to watch the migration of thousands of humpback whales as they love to frolic in the local warm, tropical waters.
Travel along the east coast to the beautiful city of Hana. Hana Highway has an incredible array of bridges that will take you through lush rainforests, flowing waterfalls, and dramatic seascapes. Try to go there early in the morning so that you can take advantage of one of the stops along the way and enjoy the beautiful views.
Kauai
This island has been called the "Island of Discovery" because of all the treasures waiting to be hunted, most have been found here. From the soaring cliffs of the Napali Coast to the vast Waimea Canyon, Kauai will impress you. Explore the island by land, sea or air. Kauai is the real jewel in the crown, it is one of the most beautiful islands you will ever see.
Visit the northern shore where you will find the very peaceful city of Hanalei. This beautiful little town is home to many historic sites as well as a fine contemporary art gallery.
