Must-visit beaches in Guam

Guam is a beautiful place. It's got white sand beaches, coral reefs, and tropical rainforests. If you're traveling there on a rented car or in other way, make sure to visit these must-visit beaches:

Tumon

Tumon is a popular beach. It's located in the center of Guam and there are many hotels, resorts and restaurants in Tumon. There are also many shops selling souvenirs, clothing and jewelry. The beach is clean with soft white sand that feels great under your feet! The water is clear so you can see all the way down to the bottom of the ocean floor if you want to swim out far enough from shore (which we recommend).

The water is also very warm so it feels great to swim in or just lay out on the beach. You can rent a cabana for $15 an hour or you can buy a lounge chair for $10. It's definitely worth it because these cabanas and lounge chairs have roofs that shade you from the sun and they also provide you with a place to put your belongings while enjoying the beach.

Ritidian

Ritidian is a beach that's located on the southernmost tip of Guam. It's a popular local hangout spot, but it also gets a fair amount of tourists as well. While this isn't one of the more well-known beaches in Guam, it still has its own charm and is worth checking out if you're looking for something different.

Ritidian Beach provides visitors with an opportunity to enjoy some peace and quiet while still being close enough to civilization where they can grab lunch or dinner when they're ready to head back home later that day.

The beach itself is a great place to relax, but it also has some other attractions as well. For example, there are several hiking trails located near Ritidian Beach that provide visitors with an opportunity to explore the forest and mountains surrounding the area. There's one trail in particular that leads all the way up Mount Barrigada and provides breathtaking views of Guam's southern coast.

Tanguisson

Tanguisson is a small beach located in the Northern part of Guam, which is great for swimming and picnicking. It's also perfect for walking along its soft sand, or playing with your kids on its white-sand shores. The water here is clear and clean, with plenty of fish swimming around if you want to go fishing while you're there!

The beach is quite small, but it's still worth a visit if you're looking for something quiet and peaceful. The waters here are shallow and perfect for swimming, which makes it a great place to bring your kids.

Tagachang

Tagachang Beach is a small beach located on the west coast of Guam. The main attraction at Tagachang is its excellent snorkeling and diving, but there are also some good places to swim in deeper water if you don't want to get wet. There are no facilities at this beach, so bring your own food and water if you plan on spending some time here!

The parking lot for Tagachang is located right off Route 1 near mile marker 7 (about 5 miles north of the city center). There is a small sign for the beach that says “Tagachang Beach Park”. The parking lot has about 10 spaces, but there are also some spots by the road where you can park if they're full. There is no fee for parking at Tagachang Beach.

Asan

Asan Beach is a great place for swimming and snorkeling. The beach is on the north shore of the island, so it's not as crowded as some of Guam's other beaches. There's a small, rocky point that makes it a good place for snorkeling--but there are also lots of fish in the water just off shore!

There are lots of fish, and you'll even see some turtles swimming by. The water is shallow for quite a ways out, so you can stand up in the water and still be able to see clearly.

The beach itself is nice, with plenty of shade from the palm trees. There's also a small snack bar on the beach that serves drinks and fruit smoothies--great for cooling off after your snorkeling adventure!
