Thermal spas in Hungary

Many travelers go to Hungary in order to improve their health at the famous thermal spas of this country.

And this is far from accidental, since 80% of Hungary consists of territories where thermal and medicinal inputs function. Of the 60 thousand springs in Hungary, about 1150 exist with a permanent temperature of more than 30 degrees Celsius.

The largest thermal spring in Hungary is the most popular lake Heviz, which has a natural volcanic origin and is constantly filled with hot water, the temperature of which is +33 degrees Celsius. Most of the baths of this profile are located in the capital of Hungary - Budapest. It is here that tourists can take advantage of any of 130 springs, most of which are thermal.

The habit of healing with the help of mineral and thermal waters dates back to the Middle Ages, when statesmen, emperors, noble merchants and kings specially came to Hungary in order to improve their well-being. Fortunately, the Hungarians managed to preserve all the health springs that existed on the territory of the country intact, and today anyone can get rid of chronic diseases and health problems with their help.

In total, there are about 70 thermal hotels in Hungary, the most popular of which is the hotel located in Miskold-Tapolc - a unique resort where today the most effective treatment of lungs, allergies, and respiratory tract is carried out. It should be noted that the hot and warm water used also helps to improve circulation and lower blood pressure.

It should be noted that thermal water treatment is carried out in all hydropathic establishments in Hungary. Such ample treatment options are due to the historical peculiarities of the country's existence. In addition to bathing in thermal waters, the patient will have to go through absolutely all the procedures offered by the hydropathic in order to fully recover.

In some cases, bathing in thermal waters may be contraindicated for the patient. As a rule, it is forbidden to swim in the presence of a high temperature, thyroid diseases, varicose veins, problems with the cardiovascular system, tuberculosis, malignant tumors, as well as in case of incontinence. In addition, pregnant women are prohibited from swimming.
