Amazing beaches in Boracay

Boracay is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the Philippines, and for good reason. It's got gorgeous beaches, warm weather, amazing food and drinks, and more. I've spent a lot of time traveling around Southeast Asia and these are my favorite Boracay beaches that you should visit during your trip:

How to get to Boracay

Boracay is an island in the Western Visayas region of the Philippines. It's about a four-hour flight from Manila, Ninoy Aquino International Airport to Godofredo P. Ramos Airport, Boracay, but there are also direct flights from Cebu and other nearby cities.

The best time to visit Boracay is during the dry season (November through April), as this is when you will have fewer tourists than during the rainy season (May to October). However, if you want to avoid crowds and book your hotel room ahead of time, then go during one of these peak periods: Easter week; Christmas Eve; New Year's Eve; or Valentine's Day weekend.

White Beach

White Beach is the most popular beach in Boracay and it's also the longest and widest of the island's seven beaches. White Beach has a lot of hotels, restaurants, bars and clubs along its shoreline. It's considered to be one of the most developed beaches in Boracay because it has been improved over time by local government officials who have implemented several infrastructure projects such as adding new sidewalks along its length so that visitors can easily walk around without getting lost or stepping on sandbags (which were initially used as barricades).

Puka Shell

Puka Shell is a beach in Boracay that has a beautiful view of the sea. It's located at Station 1, so it's easy to find. The sand here is white and smooth, perfect for sunbathing or swimming. If you're feeling adventurous, you can try out some watersports such as snorkeling or diving! If you want to go there on your own: it takes about 10 minutes by car from White Beach (where most hotels are).

Bulabog

Bulabog beach is one of the most popular beaches on Boracay. Located on the northwestern side of Boracay, it's a white sand beach with clear waters and many restaurants and bars in its vicinity.

The road leading to Bulabog isn't paved so it can be difficult to get there during rainy season or if you have a car with low clearance (like mine!). However, if you don't mind walking through mud then it shouldn't be too much trouble--just remember to wear sturdy shoes!

Diniwid

Diniwid Beach is one of Boracay's most popular beaches, and it's easy to see why. The long stretch of sand is backed by coconut trees and there are plenty of sun loungers available for hire. There are also restaurants, bars and hotels nearby if you want to take a break from your day on the beach or have lunch at one of them before jumping back into the water again.

Diniwid Beach is great for families as well as couples looking for some privacy; there are plenty of areas where people can sit together but still enjoy some privacy (for example under an umbrella).

Tambisaan

Tambisaan is a beach in Boracay that is great for swimming and snorkeling. You can rent snorkeling equipment at the beach, and there are restaurants nearby if you want to eat before or after your swim. It's also a good place to watch the sunset!

Ilig-Iligan

Ilig-Iligan is a beach on Boracay, and it has a rocky shoreline. The water isn't very deep, so it's not the best place for swimming or diving. However, if you want to snorkel or just sunbathe on the sand with your friends and family members, this is the place for you!

The rocks at Ilig-Iligan Beach are covered in marine life such as starfish and sea urchins--so if that sounds interesting to you then why not bring along your GoPro camera?

Balinghai

Balinghai Beach is a great place to go for people who want to explore the island's natural side. It's located on the northern side of Boracay, which means that it's less crowded than other beaches and has a more relaxed vibe. To get there, you can take a tricycle or jeepney from Station 1 (which costs around Php200).

Balinghai Beach has white sand and clear water that make it perfect for swimming. You'll also find lots of trees here--the beach is surrounded by thick vegetation that provides shade from the sun as well as privacy if you want some alone time! There are no restaurants nearby but there are plenty in nearby areas like Station 2 or White Beach where you can grab lunch before heading back home again after enjoying this amazing spot!

Boracay beaches are amazing, visit these beaches:

  • White Beach
  • Puka Shell
  • Bulabog Beach
  • Diniwid Beach (also known as Station 2)
  • Tambisaan Beach
  • Ilig-Iligan Cove (also known as Station 3)
