White Beach
White Beach is the longest, most beautiful and most popular beach on Boracay Island. Here you can find the best sand and water, the best facilities and a lot of different attractions. Anyone can find a heavenly spot for themselves here. White Beach occupies the majority of the island's west coast (4 out of 7 kilometers) so it has various infrastructure, attractions and natural beauty.

Beach description
- The first boat station is located in the north of the beach.
- The widest coastline, up to 100 m. This makes the beach quite spacious, but the natural shadow of the palms are quite far from the water.
- The most expensive and elite hotels are located right here. They're located right on the coast, not behind the promenade and cafes like in the other zones of the beach.
- Close to the coast, in the shallow water, is the location of "Rock Willie" - a large boulder 3 m tall which you can climb to reach Virgin Mary.
The beach is covered in the cleanest and whitest sand that gave the place its name. The sand is very nice to the touch and doesn't get hot, so it's pleasant to walk on it even during the sunniest days. Only the size of the grains differs.
Depth and smoothness of descent also varies along the coastline. It's steeper in the south. The water becomes shallow closer to the north, and you'll need to venture quite far in the water before you're able to swim near the first boat station. Considering the clean and nice sea bottom, you will enjoy this long walk, and you won't need to worry about your children here as well.
The beach is divided into 3 zones for convenience, each named after one of the three boat stations. What are the differences between these zones:
2. The second boat station is the central one, both in location and crowdedness.
- This is the liveliest place on White Beach, all day and all night long. The majority of restaurants, cafes, hotels, bars and parties are situated here. There's also a large shopping mall, a fish market and numerous tour agencies here.
- It can be very tight during the day, so if you prefer solitude, it's recommended to either come early or find a better place.
- Cafes set up tables right on the sand, under palms, during evening so guests can enjoy the breathtaking sunset.
3. The third station is the most southern one and the most atmospheric, located near the local settlements.
- This is the narrowest zone of the beach, often fully covered in the shadows of the nearby palms, with fisherman boats lying underneath them.
- Cafes and hotels do operate here, but there are less of them than in the other zones and they're cheaper.
- There aren't as many visitors here and it's overall a calmer place: no loud music from every cafe and little to no children.
When is it better to go
The peak season in Philippines lasts from December to May. It is arid and sunny at this time, the temperature rises no higher than +32
°C. The wet season and hot summer lasts from June to October. However, prices during this period are much lower, rain storms occur mainly at night, and during the day you can relax in the shade too.

Infrastructure
White Beach is the central beach on Boracay Island where the best and most well-developed tourist infrastructure is situated.
Where to stop
Over 100 hotels of various quality and price range are built along the beach - the majority of all the island's hotels. If you're looking for a cheaper option, we suggest looking at the third boat station zone or other parts of the island.
Where to eat
Being hungry on White Beach is quite hard as well: the whole coastline is filled to the brim with various establishments, from stalls to fashionable restaurants that serve Philippine, Spanish, Mexican, Greek or Italian cuisine, with some of them working 24/7. You can also buy fruit, vegetables and fresh fish at the local market. Bars and night clubs work 24/7.
What to do
Visitors of White Beach are offered various tours, diving, flying over the jungle, massage, fire show, skydiving etc. A garden and a butterfly farm are located nearby, "beds of live corals" are situated in the south while locals masterfully build sand castles at the first boat station. Besides, it's the best place on the island for shopping and night life, visiting night clubs and attending parties.

- Each of the boat stations has a watchtower with 2 rescue workers, and the central part of the beach has a first aid post.
- The beach is cleaned each day, mostly from seaweed and slime.
The best zone to bring children to is the northern zone - the sea there is shallow and it's not as crowded. Those who like talking, making new acquaintances and active leisure will like the central part, while the southern part is the best place if you're looking for solitude.
