Banyugan beach

Banyugan is a very small, about 100 m long, private beach belonging to the luxurious Shangri La Hotel in the northwest of the island. This is a solitary heaven for guests of the hotel complex that occupies 12,5 ha of the reserved territory. Unfortunately only guests of the hotel can access this beach.

Beach description

Banyugan Beach is covered in clean white sand and borders the deep enough azure Sulu Sea. The sandy surface is separated from the majority of buildings by coconut palms that serve as natural shadows. The houses and villas ideally fit the untouched natural beauty. Visitors of the hotel get to Banyugan via water and the excursion along White Beach most of the time. There's a road near the hotel's territory that merges with the main highway of the island.

An amazing spa complex is situated on the rocky cape, and a reserved forest with a path to the public Puka Shell Beach is located behind the hotel.

When is it better to go

The peak season in Philippines lasts from December to May. It is arid and sunny at this time, the temperature rises no higher than +32

°C. The wet season and hot summer lasts from June to October. However, prices during this period are much lower, rain storms occur mainly at night, and during the day you can relax in the shade too.
