The best beaches in the Bahamas

Cable Beach (New Providence Island)

The Cable Beach coastline offers easy access to shops, casinos, restaurants and bars. This is a 6.5 km (4 miles) long sandy strip with many amenities and activities!

Cabbage Beach (Paradise Island)

Think Vegas in the tropics, then Cabbage Beach is the place to be. You can get there by boat or on foot. The beach is adorned with palm trees and sea grapes. The sand line is wide and extends for at least 3 km (1 and 3/4 miles).

Xanadu Beach (Grand Bahama Island)

Amazing sandy beach. Most convenient for visitors to Freeport hotels, some of which offer a shuttle service to the place. It has over a kilometer (2/3 miles) of white sand and great surfing opportunities. If you want peace and privacy, try any of the beaches that stretch from Xanadu for miles in every direction.

Tahiti Beach (Hope Town, Elbow Cay, Abacos)

Since this beach is isolated at the far end of the island, you can be sure that only a few people will come to these cool waters and white sands. You can get to the beach on foot or by bike along the sand and gravel paths leading from Hope Town. You can also rent a boat, which is not too difficult since Abacos is the sailing capital of the country.

Ten Bay Beach

Located a short drive south of Palmetto Point and north of Savannah Sound. The once exclusive Cotton Bay club decided to build a hotel here because of the beautiful scenery. Now there are no facilities there since the hotel was closed. The local white sands and turquoise waters will provide you with a great secluded vacation.

Pink Sands Beach (Harbor Island, Eleuthera)

Located on the east side of the island. Pale pink sands stretch for 5 km (3 miles) past a handful of low-rise hotels and private villas. A coral reef protects the shore, making it the safest beach to swim in the Bahamas.

Saddle Cay (Exumas)

Most of the Exumas are oval islands that make up a 209 km (130 mi) chain. One notable exception is Saddle Cay, with its horseshoe curve. You can only reach the place by boat. The beach offers a setting without a trace of the modern world where you can play Robinson Crusoe.

Stocking Island (Exumas)

One of the best white sand beaches in the Bahamas. It is located off Elizabeth Harbor, the archipelago's main harbor, which is close to the capital, George Town. You can easily get to the island by boat.

The sands of this offshore island are rarely crowded. The place is mostly loved by divers. In addition to its powdery white sand beach, the island is known for its blue holes, coral gardens and underwater caves.

Cat Island (Southern Bahamas)

The white beaches located on this island are pristine. This is one of the favorite beaches of tourists, which is located near the Old Bay. Another fabulous place is located 5 km (3 miles) north of New Bay, in the resort of Fernandez Bay Village.

This extraordinarily peaceful place has a good coastline, here you will find a long stretch of sand that opens onto Hawk's Nest Resort & Marina, on the southwest side. It should be noted that none of the beaches on Cat Island have any amenities (bring whatever you need from your hotel), but the beaches here offer peace, quiet and privacy.
