Wild beaches of Europe

Wild beaches are definitely an endangered species. They are more and more settled by tourists and large hotel chains. However, there are places where there are no umbrellas or sun loungers on the beach.

1. Ursa, Portugal

A wild beach in Ursa, surrounded by rocks that make it completely isolated, here, like nowhere else, the inaccessibility of the outside world is felt. It is located in the Sintra National Park and to reach it you need to walk at least 15 minutes from the nearest car park. If a person is not used to walking, then it may take longer, because the path to the beach is quite steep. Due to the difficult passage, there are very few vacationers here, mostly nudists visit it.

According to the Michelin Praia guide, Ursa is one of the most beautiful beaches in the world. The sharp vertical cliffs, along with the endless sea, make the views of the beach incredibly beautiful.

2. Dune du Pilat, France

Visitors to the Dune du Pilate must cross a 108 meter long sand dune before reaching their final destination. But the result of the trip is just great - a spacious and beautiful beach without people.

Dune du Pilat is the highest dune in Europe, so the beach is only for those who are willing to walk half a kilometer on hot days on flaming sand. The width of the dunes stretches for 2.7 km. They are part of the desert on the French coast.

3. Kedrodasos, Greece

On the beach of Kedrodasos there are many juniper trees, dunes and mussels, but not people. The sand is white and soft, and the winds are not very strong, given the characteristics of this region.

Kerodasos is a spacious and relatively empty beach. There is car parking next to it, but fortunately there are no other tourist spots like pubs or shops.

4. Spiiadja delle due sorelle, Italy

Spiiadja delle du sorelle or "Beach of the Two Sisters" is so called because of the two rocks that people liken to sisters.

This is perhaps the most emblematic beach on the Italian Riviera del Conero, located near the city of Ancona.

Unlike Portofino or the Cinque Terre, this part of the country is less known and more visited by tourists.

The two sisters can only be reached by boat. The beach is spacious and the water is clear and clean.

5. Fuertaventura, Spain

Fuertaventura is an island, part of the Canary Islands. This is one of the wildest places in Europe. A paradise with many species of birds, animals and vast deserted beaches. Traveling by car is the best way to explore this island.

There are dozens of different beaches along the coast. The cafe is one of the widest and most secluded options for a beach holiday. There is a 20 km dirt road next to it. If you decide to go there, then you are better off renting a jeep.

Since Fuertaventura's winds are strong, the island is ideal for sea sports enthusiasts.
