Laurel beach

A long, narrow pebble strip that stretches along the green cliffs and bushes is what Dafni beach is all about. Very long and narrow, it is however popular for its scenic views and natural beauty. Blue water with white foaming white-caps, light grey pebbles, blue water - this typical Greek view attracts many tourists.
It is difficult, but possible, to sit comfortably on a sunbed in a small place between the sea and the cliffs (or between the sea and the road). If you don't find a place on the beach, you can move away, on the grass, and settle down under the shade of trees that grow close to the beach. The green bar is another virtue of Dafni: in hot weather, it creates a natural shade, so that tourist without umbrellas will definitely not get sunburns.
Descent into the water is smooth and comfortable, but it is better to enter in special shoes, because the beach is almost completely pebbled. In some uninhabited areas, quite large and sharp boulders can be near the cliffs.
The beach is popular with different group of people. Familis with children, funny youth companies and single travelers, and couples like to come here. The best way to get to the beach is by rented car.
When is the best time to go?
