Myrties beach
Myrties is a large, not crowded beach northwest of Potia, the nearest village of Asos. It is strewn with small dark pebbles, an ideal place for a carefree pastime with kids, sunbathing, swimming. Quiet narrow streets, white houses in flowers. It takes about an hour to get from Agius Nikolaus by public transport.

The beach is landscaped, there is a parking lot, showers. Toilets, umbrellas, sunbeds are managed by beach cafes. The water is always warm, the entrance is even. It's pretty shallow on the edge, further the bottom deepens. You can go diving on the rocky shores on the side of the beach and exploring the grotto on the left side. From the upper viewing decks offer beautiful scenery.
The beachline is open to the south, the land protected by rocks from the north, so it is alwais quiet and a little warmer than elsewhere. The area is decorated with the Blue Flag of UNESCO.
In the village you can walk, have lunch, take a lot of colorful photos. There are cafes and taverns along the beachline. Pine trees, cypresses, and the hospitality of the locals give rise to a special microclimate.
What you can see?
- There are interesting monasteries, excavations are being conducted in some places.
- Guests will be interested in traditional Greek architecture.
- The main local attraction is the Venetian castle with a magnificent sea view, covered with impregnable cliffs.
When is it better to go:
Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
