Xerokampos beach
Beach of Ks iroka ampos (Ksirokampos) around the coast of the natural bay in the Ionian Sea, is located 9 km southeast of the town of Ayia Marina and 3 km from the natural port of Lakki. The unique topography of the area with wide cave slopes that end with a sandy beach with beautiful crystal blue waters attracts tourists and locals.

The sand in this part of the island is unusually soft, pleasant yellow with golden reflections. Ksirokampos is decorated with blossoming tamarisk tree, which create shady places on the beach. The beach offers spectacular views of the Kalymnosa mountains, as well as the nearby islets in the Ionian Sea such as Velona or Glaronisia. Water is a real treasure of Ksirokampos, it is so transparent and crystal clear that it is possible to see the sea bottom with its flora and fauna. And waves and winds are rare in this area.
Diving is a popular sport on this beach. Everyone can use the services of numerous diving schools near Ksirokampos. At the end of the beach there is a historic chapel of Panagia Cavuradena and Paleokastro, where you can see the ruins of an ancient castle. Also nearby are numerous taverns and a famous camping site. Ksirokampos is a great place for swimming and enjoying mountain landscape in a calm and relaxing atmosphere.
When is the best time to go?
