Megas Gialos beach
Megas Gialos Beach is considered to be quite large and is located in the southern part of the island of Syros. The distance to the capital is very small and totals only 12 km, which can easily be overcome in almost 20 minutes. This is a long, but narrow and picturesque resort area. There is practically no wind here, the coast is reliably protected by its natural southern location, the water is crystal clear and easy to get to, therefore the beach area is loved by many guests and locals. The most convenient way to get to this resort is by bus.

The shore is covered with fine sand, and the warm sea is shallow enough, which is why Megas Gialos is often attended by many couples with children, because the stay here is convenient and safe. The beach is considered to be organized, with a well-developed infrastructure, there are everything you need in the recreation area:
- renting sun loungers and umbrellas;
- shops;
- restaurants;
- water sports equipment rental;
- different accommodation options: quiet nearby is a small but cozy village, where you can even rent a car to explore the island on your own.
There are two churches near the beach, so enjoying the sunshine, you can walk through the shady terrain, walk in the middle of the green trees and see the local sights.
When is the best time to go?
Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
