Makhachkala City Beach beach
Makhachkala City Beach is the most popular place of rest of citizens and guests of the capital of Dagestan. It is visited daily by about five thousand people at the height of the summer season. It is located near the railway station next to the Rodopskiy Bulvar, just cross the bridge and move to the right along the tracks. You can walk ten minutes from the city center to the beach, on the way looking at the local attractions and enjoying the shady coolness of Suleyman-Stalskiy Park. Admission is free, there are no special restrictions in beach fashion, but women are still better to refrain from too revealing bikinis.

The Coastline stretches for several kilometers and is covered with golden sand mixed with small particles of shells. There are heaps of large stone boulders at the edges, among which you can retire from the noisy crowd. The entrance to the water is smooth. The bottom is sandy and safe, the depth increases gradually. The sea can be different depending on the weather. It is clean and transparent on windless days, characteristic of the Caspian gray-greenish color. Strong winds can catch up with quite high waves and wash up seaweed to the shore, but this does not particularly bother visitors, exhausted by the Dagestan heat.
The Beach is equipped with toilets and changing rooms. There are several showers, benches for relaxation. There are rare sunshades. You can rent umbrellas and sun loungers. There are places where you can eat and refresh yourself with drinks (alcohol is not sold on the beach). There is volleyball net and several bouncy castle slides and trampolines for children. There are no usual water attractions in the form of bananas, tablets and parachutes.
The beach is quite dirty, There are a lot of household garbage, seaweed and broken bottles. Despite the fairly friendly attitude of the locals, personal belongings unattended is better not to leave. In all other respects, the beach is quite decent, although to the title of a chic metropolitan resort it is still very far away.
