Tanjung Bungah beach
Tanjung Bungah is a beach on the northern coast of Penang island, in the suburbs of Georgetown. It is an ideal place for sports holidays fans and quiet, deserted places lovers. The beach is easily reached by taxi or rental car.

The beach is covered with golden sand. The sea entrance is gentle, the bottom is sandy. The water is muddy. There is a sewage drain nearby, so Tanjung Bungah is not suitable for swimming. At the eastern end of the beach, where is several hotels, the territory is distinguished by well-groomed views and equipment. There is a small area with sunbeds and umbrellas. On the west side of the beach, where is the famous Floating Mosque and a small fishing village, there is a lot of garbage on the shore.
Tanjung Bungah is a low-visited beach. There is always deserted, as tourists prefer to swim in hotel pools. On the Tanjung Bungah territory, next to the Floating mosque, there is a water sports centre where you can rent water skiing, boat, catamaran, canoe, jet ski, sailing boat and equipment for parasailing. The center organizes competitions, festivals, sea tours and fishing. There are showers, changing cabins, camping, boarding. With a child on the beach in the Georgetown suburbs is not too comfortable, because there are no playgrounds, and muddy water is teeming with jellyfish. There are no restaurants and entertainment venues near the beach.
