The idyllic bay of Aow Leuk is the crown jewel of the southeast coast of Ko Tao. This is a pilgrimage destination for divers and connoisseurs of silence. You can get here by scooter by highway from Mae Haad. The parking lot is right in front of the beach.

300 meters of wide coastline, clean white sand, giant palm trees, picturesque cliffs along the edges of the beach and transparent water create an impeccable reputation for Aow Leuk Beach. The only thing that can spoil the impression is algae brought to the shore by storms. But starting from April, when the sea calms down, this “flaw” is gone.
Two restaurants, sun loungers and straw umbrellas, several bungalows on the shore promise a carefree holiday. The maximum depth of the Aow Leuk is 15 m. The sandy bottom in the middle of the bay is an ideal place for training dives.
The diverse marine world holds many surprises for inquisitive explorers. The site is covered with bizarre coral families. These waters are home to colonies of “Christmas tree” worms, anemone crabs, sea slugs and a rare species of sea stars “Crown of thorns”. Black reef sharks sometimes swim in here looking for food. Blue spotted rays and giant sea basses hide around boulders.
When is it better to go
Period od novembra do marta smatra se vrhunskom sezonom na Tajlandu. Udobna temperatura vazduha, kao i minimalne količine padavina stvaraju optimalne uslove za odmor na plaži.
