Antissa Field beach
The deserted beach of Campo Antissa is located in the north of the island of Lesbos, very close to the beach of Gavafas. This pebble and sandy beach is preferred by fans of secluded relaxation. Here you can enjoy a calm and harmonious atmosphere, picturesque landscapes, as well as get to know the locals - turtles. Campo Antissa is considered to be one of the most secluded beaches on the Lesbosa island, where you can rest and fully relax, forgetting about your daily worries. It is not so crowded as the other popular beaches of Lesbos, which attracts tourists from all over the world. Antissa village is in two kilometers from the beach, the nearest infrastructure is located there. There are neither sunbeds nor umbrellas at Campo Antissa, so you will have to take care of the amenities yourself. But a complete merger with nature is ensured.
Light gray pebbles are mixed with sand on the coast, and the entrance to the water is gentle enough so that vacationing parents are not worried about the children of preschool age. Locals put a lot of efforts to clear the shore from silt, and this paid off: now it is clean, and you can see small fish in pristine clear water.
The beach can be reached by a taxi or a rented car from Antissa, the road will pleasantly delight you with its wonderful landscapes, fruit orchards and olive trees.
When is the best time to go?
