Cigarette beach
This beach is isolated from the outside world by impregnable cliffs. It is considered to be one of the most beautiful and mysterious, because it differs in pristine unique landscapes, and in order to get to it, you must overcome the path through a narrow grotto or sail to the shore by boat. However, vacationers are fully rewarded for such difficulties - Tsigrado gives you the opportunity to swim in the crystal clear water and enjoy unity with the natural element.

The beach is a coast of a small sand bay fenced by mountains from all sides. It is situated in the south of the island in the close proximity to Firiplaki which is rather convenient. This place is loved by adventure seekers and active young people who love exploring the secret corners of nature.
It's almost impossible to meet elderly people and couples with children here which is explained by a problematic descent to the sea. It is a weak wooden staircase, literally sandwiched in a bottleneck between the rocks. But even in spite of this, the beach always has visitors. Tsirgado can be bravely called the crowded place because after ten people, no room will be found on it. This can be explained by the beach small size.
Water is shallow near the coast, the entry is smooth. There are pebbles on the bottom but you can see them from the distance and be safe from unpleasant feelings because water is clear. The site is protected by rocks from the open sea space, so waves appear here only at north winds. But mainly, there are no winds on the beach.
When is the best time to go?

Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.

Infrastructure
Going to Tsigrado, prepare yourself in advance to the fact that there is nothing here except magnificent natural views. In the photo on the Internet you can see that people are sunbathing here under sun umbrellas, but there is no rent on the beach – people bring everything by themselves.
There is also no toilet, shower, bar, shop on the beach, so take everything you need with you. Prepare a snack and stock up on water. There are also no hotels but within walking distance – 3 km is picturesque Psaravolada Resort with white walls and blue wooden shutters and roofs. Its rooms offer panoramic sea views.
The beach is popular among diving enthusiasts, as at the depths next to it a beautiful underwater world opens up, which hundreds of divers are going to see every year.
