Agis Sotis is a resort situated in the western part of Tinos city and 5 km away from Hora (the island capital). It is famous for its long sand beach with a view of an ancient church, green hills, and a blooming bay. This place is also loved for silence, provincial coziness, clean air, delicious cuisine, and hundreds of other things.
Agis Sotis beach is covered with soft, almost snow white sand on which one can walk in bare feet. The sea here is clear, transparent, and mostly calm. Depth increases smoothly, it starts in 5-10 meters. Close to the local church, a picturesque pier is situated from which people dive and enjoy the beautiful views. The neighboring islands (Rinia, Delos, Mykonos) and majestic mountain tops are seen from any point of the beach.
20 meters away from the sea, hundreds of luxuriant trees grow, forming groves and small forests. In their shadow, people hide from summer heat, make picnics and go for dates. A bit farther, there are snow white hotels and restaurants, erected in the traditional Greek style. And tall mountains stand several hundred meters away from the beach. From this height, fascinating pictures can be taken.
Safety is another advantage of this resort. The frequency of crimes here is extrememly low, and the numbe rof traffic accidents is also low. Strong waves and underwater currents are almost absent in local sea. There are no suspicious traders or illegal trading points on the beach. And people here are decent, well-mannered.
The main entertainment in Agis Sotis is sunbathing a few meters away from the sea and taste-off of Mediterranean cocktails. there are also good conditions for swimming, snorkeling, and hiking organization here. Alpinists and wild nature lovers will like local mountain tops. And adventure seekers can order a sea tour, or rent water transport.
The resort is a perfect place for families with children, loving couples, fans of comfort and beach entertainment. Every year, this place is visited by tens of thousand tourists from the EU, Australia, the USA and the Balkans. The peak of tourist season falls on the last summer month. In order to enjoy silence and calmness, come here in early summer or in the first month of autumn.
Agis Sotis has a very good location: at a distance of 5 km, there is a large city with supermarkets, gas filling stations, bank branches, craft bars, and architectural monuments. The beach is surrounded with quiet and provincially up-country locality. There are no hazardous industrial facilities or large noise sources near it.
Interesting fact: Agis Sotis has not always been a presentable resort. Earlier, a tiny fishermans village was here. But, as the tourist potential of Tinos island grows, almost all inhabitants focues on tourist service.
When is the best time to go?

Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.

There is a 3-star hotel complex Summer Time Αpartments 300 meters from the beach. It comprises luxurious Greek villas with well-groomed interior. There is a cozy cafe with a luxurious terrace, grill area, benches and a large amount of greenery. Part of the roofs of the hotel are covered with green turf and equipped with furniture. From their height opens a wonderful view of the surrounding land.
Rooms of Summer Time Αpartments characterized by large size, modern equipment, nice furniture. They are cleaned daily and maintained in good condition. The hotel provides free breakfast, powerful Wi-Fi and parking. A tavern is 20 meters away.
Comfortable loungers, sun umbrellas, toilets, rubbish bins, changing rooms are installed on the beach of Agios Sostis. There are seafood, Greek and continental cuisine restaurants. At 500 meters from the beach there are 20+ guest houses, taverns, beach bars and hotels.
The resort has grocery stores, souvenir shops, travel agencies. 1000 meters north of Agios Sostis there is a car rental, a Greek bakery and one of the most beautiful churches in Tinos. The nearest gas stations and supermarkets you will find in the capital of the island.
