The beach stretches for 3,5 km along the South Californian coast from Malibu to Venus. Its beach has a stunning view of Palisades cliffs in the east, the pacific Ocean calling to the West. The beach with 245 acres of sand is a line of linear parks with children's playgrounds, walkways and bicycle tracks, the restored historical summerhouse, the unique landscape design, and the significant palm tree.
Due to strong winds and waves, Santa Monica is popular among surfers. A curious fact is that this beach will accept surfers and volleyball players during the 2028 Olympics. You can get from the center of Los Angeles to Santa Monica beach for 50 minutes by car. An excellent alternative to a car will be abicycle that you can rent right on the spot: 20 dollars a day - this is how much the pleasure costs for a child, and 30-40 – for an adult.
And sand here is very neat and fine because it is regularly sieved and cleaned from rubbish. The water entry is smooth, although, strong waves are observed near the very cost, that can make the entry complicated. Since the beach is very long, it is conditionally divided into two parts - to the south and to the north from the pier. By the way, the pier is the final point of the famous Route 66 stretching almost across the entire American continent, so don't forget to take a commemorative picture with the Route 66 sign.

Southward from the pier, there are several different parks and public parking lots with the exit to the beach. These parks have:
- football fields;

- a large chequerboard.
Muscle Beach is still situated close to the pier with fitness equipment for body-builders. Bicyclers and ice-skaters rush down the coastal bicycle paved track of Marwin Brode that twists through teh beach rear part. Also, along the beach, there are located a rather large volleyball court and tennis courts, so guests have a large range of active pastime options on Santa Monica.
The pearl of this beach is the hotel Santa Monica Pier, with Pacific Park offering its amusement rides and arcade games, restaurants, stores, and Santa Monica Pier Aquarium. Car parking lots for South Beach are situated along Ocean Avenue and Barnard Way.
