Ocean Park beach
Earlier, tourists were rare guests in Ocean Park - mostly San Juan inhabitants were coming here. Although, the beach has recently become popular among guests as well. It is a wide sand site one mile long, surrounded with several shadow areas with palm trees, residential condominiums, private residences, guest houses, restaurants and several boutique hotels.

This is a rather quiet beach with spontaneous comfortable atmosphere but there may be many people here on holidays and weekends. Its coastal waters are characterized by the wide color paletter, starting from deep blue and ending with aquamarine.. sand is of light golden color, soft and light. Sand softness and lightness even allow you jogging bare feet.
The beach is situated on the Atlantic coast, so waves are rather strong and rough here. Although, they are still less than on neighboring Condado. This is not the best place for kids' swimming but, instead, it is an excellent "field" for water games. You can see black stones in clear water - it's better not to swim here because you can wound your leg. Rubber shoes are a bad option as well because waves can easily drag it into the ocean.
It will be easy to get to the beach: trolleybuses go between it and San Juan. If you are lucky to find a dwelling option close to the sea, you can get to this place on foot. Moreover, you can use car rent and taxi services.
When is the best time to go?

Ocean Park Beach is well-equipped. On its territory, there are sling chairs and umbrellas, placed by local hotels. If you come earlier, you can have time to occupy a shadowy place under palm trees or almond trees.
Windsurfing and kiting are the most popular winter sports at Ocean Park. On its territory, several tents offer ammunition and equippment rent.
The beach has no public water closets but you can use the ladies' room in beach cozy restaurants. Even if you forgot your snacks, it will not be a problem at Ocean Park: local cafes will offer dishes of European, American, and national cuisine, so you won't leave them hungry. You will have to forget about fashionable hotels here - choose an accommodation option from boutique hotels or private rented rooms. If you dream about chic and luxury, you should visit the high class Embassy Suites by Hilton San Juan Hotel & Casino situated two miles away from the beach.
