Aegialis beach

Egialis is situated within the short walking distance from the island village with the same name, near the port of Aigiali, 20 km away from the city of Hora. The way to the beach is easy even on public transport.

Egialis is a rather long beach stretching for at least 1 km. The beach is covered with soft golden sand. This is one of few beaches on the island where algae can be seen by the beach but there aren't many of them, so they cause zero discomfort.

Like other beaches of Amorgos, Egialis has crystal clear sea and shore. In spite of this place popularity among tourists and the locals, the beach is seldom crowded. Egialis became the favorite place for the following groups of people:

• Families with children: well-developed infrastructure and safe beach are the basic priorities when choosing a place for family recreation;
• Youth: numerous taverns and the comfortable transport junction are the key points for student trips and parties;
• Elderly people: magnificent views and close vicinity to the city are the main factors when choosing the vacation by the sea.

Beside picturesque views, shallow water and well-developed infrastructure, the beach has natural shadow. High pines and tamarisks are the real decoration of Egialis. Leaning over the beach, the century-old trees give pleasant coolness to guests.

The beach is especially beautiful at sunset when the sky is lit with golden, bright orange, and red colors, and is reflected in the sea, conveying these motley tinctures to it as well.

When is the best time to go?

Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
