Gyra beach
Gira is a whole series of beaches formed near the city of Lefkada. The coast is rather narrow, it takes several kilometers in length and stretches along the asphalt road. The coverage here is heterogeneous, there are pebbles and coarse sand, but you can go barefoot to get hurt, you need to try. There are no standard amenities here, and the food is not particularly developed, there is only one cafe, which is open only in high season.

There are almost no waves in the beach area, so surfers choose nearby resorts. The area has been singled out by the Blue Flag as one of the cleanest among the many more famous beaches of Greece. The transparent and clear sea is a good place to rest with children, when you can compete in volleyball, water and active sports.
As the road is close by and there is a place to leave your car, you can come to the beach in the afternoon fro windsurfing or kitesurfing, and in the evening to admire the beautiful sunset. Many tourists consider it a drawback that there is absolutely no shady terrain along the entire beach, so it is worth taking an umbrella with you. And for those who love quiet, secluded and a little "wild" rest, this beach is perfect.
When is the best time to go?
Grčka - zemlja dugačke dužine od sjevera do juga, pa će se preporuke razlikovati ovisno o mjestu u koje idete. Sezona godišnjih odmora počinje u maju, a vrhunac dostiže u julu-avgustu: ima previše turista, a temperatura na južnim ostrvima dostiže 40 stepeni, što možda još uvijek ne igra ulogu na plaži, ali svakako nije pogodno za razgledavanje. Dakle, najbolje vrijeme za opuštanje u Grčkoj je kraj proljeća-početak ljeta ili septembar-oktobar.
