Big Stone beach
Megali Petra is one of the best beaches in Lefkada. The beach is located 15 km from the village of Kalamitsi, the path to it lies through a series of sharp turns. From Greek Megali Petra is translated as “large stones”. The spacious beach is literally surrounded by high cliffs with lush greenery, and along the coast there are large stones and rock formations, which creates an amazing and memorable landscape.

The entrance to the water is gentle on this beach, but the depth increases rapidly. Besides, Megali Petra is one of the few beaches in Greece where the weather is often windy, but even during these periods the waves are rarely high.
When is the best time to go?
