Megali Petra beach
Megali Petra is one of the best beaches in Lefkada. The beach is located 15 km from the village of Kalamitsi, the path to it lies through a series of sharp turns. From Greek Megali Petra is translated as “large stones”. The spacious beach is literally surrounded by high cliffs with lush greenery, and along the coast there are large stones and rock formations, which creates an amazing and memorable landscape.

From a distance, it seems that the beach is covered with white sand, but, in fact, Megali Petra is covered with fine white pebbles, which are not felt barefoot, so there is no need to buy special shoes. When is the best time to go?
