Simos beach
Located in the southern part of the Peloponnese on the island of Elafonisos, within the prefecture of Laconia, lies the enchanting Simos Beach. This island, once connected to the mainland, was separated by a powerful earthquake centuries ago. Despite its remoteness and the somewhat inconvenient transfer, Elafonisos has emerged as one of Greece's premier resorts, with Simos Beach being its crowning jewel. The beach has been included in the list of nature reserves by the Natura 2000 organization and is recognized as a conservation zone within the EU.
