Beach description
The bay, where a scenic sandy beach is comfortably located, is protected by the sea cliffs from strong winds and is surrounded by opine and tamarisk groves that go down to the shore. Due to this, a unique microclimate has been formed here, which constantly attracts many tourists. Recently, the influx of tourists is so great that in the high season, the beach sometimes resembles a jar of sardines. Those wishing to sit under their umbrellas are unlikely to find a suitable place here, so connoisseurs of a quiet relaxing vacation should pay attention to the Delfini small pebble "wild" beach, located just north of here, a ten-minute walk.
For everyone else, especially families with children, Kalogrias is very attractive due to its comfortable sun loungers, beach shed and a variety of taverns and bars, located right on the beach. There is a volleyball court on the beach, you can rent catamarans and kayaks, as well as have fun at the attractions.
The sea is amazingly clear and transparent, stunning emerald color. The water near the shore is warm and slightly cooler due to the nearby flows and underground springs that flow into the water area.
The bay is surrounded by a scenic cliffs, where you can swim with a mask and watch the colorful fish. There is a diving center around here with experienced instructors and all the necessary equipment.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

Infrastructure
Getting to Kalogrias is quite convenient. The road from Kalamata, the main sea and air gate of the southern Peloponnese, takes no more than half an hour. Regular bus service has been established.
Around the beach there are a sufficient number of hotels and campsites for every taste and budget. One of the most popular among them is Kalogria attracting tourists with convenient location and excellent service. On the territory there is a shady garden, sports fields, a mini market. Near the beach there is a unique reserve Viotopos Dasous Strofilias, reminiscent of the African savannah, surrounded by relict pines with crowns in the form of giant umbrellas. It is unlikely that in Greece there is another similar place combining the exotic of several continents at once.
