Porto Heli beach
Porto Heli is a sandy beach located in the Argolida region (northeastern Peloponnese). On its territory there are soft sun loungers, toilets, changing cabins, garbage bins and shower rooms. In August, a number of entertaining events take place on the territory of Porto Heli, including “Fishing Week”, “Science and Art Festival”, dance master classes and many others.

Beach description
The length of the beach exceeds 2.5 km, so there are free places for everyone. Plenty of entertainment - water sports, volleyball, swimming in the pool or sea, organizing tours - will please active tourists. If you are bored with crowds, you can enjoy the silence and privacy with your friends on the wild areas of the beach. Windless weather, smooth depth difference and almost complete absence of waves in the warm, clear, bright blue water will allow you to relax and forget all the troubles.
Porto Heli has the following catering facilities:
- Italian pizzeria;
- a cafeteria with a small pastry shop;
- bakery;
- traditional Greek tavern;
- a pub.
There is a supermarket, tourist agency, rental center of water transport, some dozens of hostels in the surrounding area.
Buses from Athens and Nafplion daily run to the beach. You can also get here by private car or taxi.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
