Beach description

The beachline is quite long and in shape resembles the Greek letter Ω. The beach is covered with golden soft sand, which sometimes creates bizarre dunes. The sea is shallow, warm and crystal clear, practically without waves ans an amazing turquoise shade.

There no umbrellas, shed and beach bars, so you should take care of everything yourself. Despite this, in the high season, many tourists come here to enjoy the local beauties.

Among them, there are many nudists and representatives of nonstandard sexual orientation, which should be taken into account when going to Voidokilia with children. It is also necessary to take into account that the sand on the beach is piping hot and deep, you cannot pass with a baby stroller, and you will have to carry the kids on your hands. Usual beach shales won't fit here, but closed shoes will very useful.

Minuses - algae are often nailed to the shore, which are not cleaned that spoils the outside impressions and creates certain inconveniences. Also, due to the proximity of the freshwater lake, mosquitoes are activated, so those who want to enjoy the sunset or spend the night on the beach need to take care of mosquito repellents.

When is the best time to go?

Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season  begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
