Simos beach

Once in Simos, it's hard to shake off the feeling that you've been transported to one of the Caribbean islands, such is the mesmerizing beauty of this place. The expansive beach stretches over a kilometer and is blanketed with dazzling white sand. In some areas, the abundance of sand gives rise to impressive dunes. The sea is tranquil and serene, its crystal-clear waters a greenish-emerald hue that appears even more vivid against the backdrop of the pristine coast.

The bay is split into two smaller bays by a sandy spit that juts out into the sea. To the left of this natural "neck" lies Mikro Simos Beach, approximately three hundred meters in length. Cedar trees, their divine pine scent wafting through the air, encroach upon the beach. Early birds may secure a spot in the life-saving shade of these trees, while others will need to rent sunbeds and umbrellas. However, availability is limited, and prices are higher than at other Greek resorts, so it's advisable to plan ahead. Nearby, Paradiso Tavern and Cervi Beach Bar offer refreshments and snacks, with waiters ready to serve drinks directly to your spot on the sand. One of the parking lots is also situated here.

To the right of the spit, you'll find Mega Simos, or Simos Grande, a much larger and more vibrant beach. Here, in addition to umbrellas and sun loungers, visitors can rent beach beds with canopies or opt to relax on their own towels.

The beach boasts ample space for active sports, including a volleyball net, inflatable slides, and trampolines.

It's important to note that Simos is a favored spot for nudists, so this should be taken into consideration when visiting with children.
