Kartela beach
3 km from Cypressia is Kartela Beach. The long coast is covered with pebble-sand mixture, and the water here is crystal clear. The cartel belongs to the “wild” beaches, which, however, did not prevent it from becoming a favorite bathing place among the inhabitants of Cypressia. Among other good beaches near the city you can choose Sani, Tripes or Kalo Nero. Many sections of the coast have the Blue Flag and are protected by environmental organizations.

Beach description
Kartela is a wild beach, located 3 km away from the Kiparisia resort. It differ in its small size (about 100 m), interesting relief, and lots of greenery. A beautiful view of Planos island, Greek villages, the mountains of Hellas, opens from the shore.
5 features of Kartela's beach:
- small size (about 100 m long);
- soft and golden sand, on which you can walk barefoot;
- a smooth depth difference (it starts 5-10 meters from the sea shore);
- warm and crystal clear water of turquoise color;
- a large number of birds (they live in neighboring forests).
Kartela is created for secluded vacation with friends. Guests here walk along the beaches and surrounding forests, fish and explore underwater world with aqualungs and masks. They conquer mountain peaks, explore medieval castles, monuments and other sightseeings of Peloponnesus. Local air deserves special attention: it has the scent of sea, forest and tropical flowers.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
