Vrahos Loutsa beach
These are two beaches that are usually mentioned together in guidebooks and excursion programs. And all because they are part of the coastline near the town of Preveza and are together about 6 km long. To get to the beach, you need to drive on the road connecting Perveza and Igumenitsa. All you have to do is follow the sign along the road - you won't find any difficulties with strange forks and unmarked turns. There are no regular buses to the coast - at the best case, you can get to nearest village, nut this is not very convenient.
it is a sandy, clear beach with ideal conditions for family vacation. The descend into the water is smooth, without sudden depth. Children can be allowed to splash themselves off the coast without fear that they will be frightened or stumble in the water.
Vrahos Loutsa Beach is located in the open area - it is not a bay, and it has no protection in the form of cliffs. That's why there are stably waves here, fans of drive will be able to enjoy riding on a waterboat. However, the coast doesn't have strong waves, therefore, as mentioned above, staying in the water for children is absolutely safe.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.

- In relative proximity to the beaches there are such attractions as Ancient Nicopolis, Ancient Kassiopi, Necromanteion (Oracle of the Dead), Acheron River, Monument of Zalongo. If you are nearby – why do not you take a few hours to explore the monuments of Greek culture? Moreover, driving to them takes about 20 minutes.
- There is a camping area on the beach. Romantics can stay here overnight to enjoy spectacular sunset views on the shores of the Ionian Sea.
- You can also get here by water taxi from Parga, but it will be long and expensive. The best mode of transport for a trip to the beach will be a rented car or taxi.
