Afteli beach
Afteli beach is located on the east coast of the island. Only 4 km is separated from the main road, but due to difficult terrain or a slow car ride, the distance seems more distant. But there is parking, which is free until 10 in the morning.

Beach description
The rich blue water surface, tidy fishing boats, and green surroundings pleasantly delight the traveler's eye. The shore is covered with pebbles, the surrounding cliffs are rich in marine life, so the place is perfect fro diving and swimming. There are almost no waves here, the bay is reliably protected from the wind and is accessible for rest from early spring until late autumn. In contrast to other secluded beaches of the island, there are cafes selling light snacks and sun loungers with umbrellas for a fee.
The inaccessibility, the remoteness from Lefkas (more than 30 km) and the pebbles on the shore make the beach not as popular as other resorts. But the beautiful nature, the secluded bay and the absence of crowds of people allow those guests who prefer active entertainment, diving or quiet, secluded rest. There are no landmarks near the beach, but the nearest village is just a couple of kilometers away.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
