Agios Nikitas beach
Agios Nikitas is a small charming beach on the coast of the Ionian Sea. It is located on the Greek island of Lefkada, in the fishing village of the same name, 13 km southwest of the city of Lefkada. Enjoying great popularity among tourists, in high season this beach is often crowded with people. Nevertheless, it is a cozy place with a clean sea, sand and pebble coating and comfortable infrastructure.

Due to the beautiful sunset and scenic nature, Agios Nikitas is ideal for romantic vacation. It is best reached by car from the island's capital, Lefkas, or by driving along the east coast through the village of Karia.
The soft surf and gentle entrance make Agios Nikitas comfortable for family vacation and swimming. Sometimes you can see packs of dolphins in the distance. To the right of the beach there are rock formations, providing a convenient opportunity to sunbathe and dive. The presence of a large number of shops, restaurants, hotels, guesthouses and villas on the territory adjacent to the beach area will provide a comfortable stay for those who would like to spend a few days here. Umbrellas and sun loungers are available for rent on the beach. It is also a convenient starting point for visiting other famous beaches of the island - Kathisma, Pefkulia, Egremni.
The main difficulty faced by visitors to Agios Nikitas during the peak of the beach season is the lack of parking in the village. The only solution in this case will be to park the cars at its entrance.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
