Nikiana beach
Nikiana is a calm beach untouched by civilization, located 10 km southeast of Lefkada, in the village of the same name. The beach is very popular with tourists. It is small in size and covered with white sand and pebbles. The sea in the area of the beach is shallow and calm, in the high season - warm, beautiful emerald shade.

Nikiana is often chosen for families with children. It's perfect for bathing and sunbathing. The presence of trees creates a natural shade on the beach, which provides a comfortable stay even in the hottest weather. Near the beach area there are several parking lots, markets, restaurants, bars, hotels and villas where you can stay overnight. While relaxing in the vicinity of Nikiana, visitors can go in for water sports, hiking and cycling along shady olive groves and mountain paths, discovering local beauties, visiting the mountain villages of Alexandros and Kolyvata.

When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing.
