Lygia beach
The beach belongs to the city of the same name, which is located in the east of Lefkada. The most picturesque part is located on the highway, the remaining beach is quite narrow and mostly pebbled. Lygia is considered to be an urban recreation area, located near many hotels. Many tourists prefer to stay here, because near the resort there are not only hotels, but also local attractions. For example, the old fortress of St. George, which is clearly visible from the beach.

In general, a small town is a fishing village or port, where the life of the local population is slowly flowing. The beach is surrounded by hills with pine forests and olive groves, so vacation in the resort area is suitable for lovers of extreme pastime and hiking.
You can always see age tourists or a few couples with children on the beach, because the rest here is more like a calm and peaceful. The way to the water is very convenient, the sea near the shore is shallow, the water is emerald and clean, so swimming children in the beach area is absolutely safe. There are several sunbeds and umbrellas, and on weekdays it is not crowded, so there will be enough space for every vacationer.
When is the best time to go?
Greece - a country with a long length from north to south, so the recommendations will vary depending on the place where you are going. The holiday season begins in May and reaches a peak in July-August: there are too many tourists, and the temperature on the southern islands reaches 40 degrees, which may still not play a role on the beach, but certainly not suitable for sightseeing. So the best time to relax in Greece is the end of spring-beginning of summer or September-October.
