Descripció de la platja
Coastline is covered by fine pebble, somewhere by sand. The water in Baikal is cold and even in peak season it rarely warms above 18 degrees. Near the city beach there are piers, to which large and small vessels regularly moor. This does not affect the cleanliness of the water in the best way, and seaweed is often nailed to the shore.
Nevertheless, at the peak of the season (July-August), the beach is quite crowded, vacationers relax sunbathing, play beach volleyball or simply admire the beauties of the lake from the verandas of open cafes. It is worth to note that in Listvyanka there is no embankment, and tourists are forced to move along the roadway. Considering the intensity of traffic, this is not always safe, so you need to attentively look around and be extremely careful.
In winter, Baikal freezes, and the coastal zone turns into a huge ice rink. On the beach, there are tents with snacks and hot drinks installed, music plays, and everything looks very colorful.
When is the best time to go?
Baikal on ilus igal aastaajal, välja arvatud võib-olla sulaaeg (oktoobri lõpust jaanuari alguseni), kui maateed muutuvad peaaegu läbimatuks, ei tasu siia tulla. Juuli ja august on parim aeg rannapuhkuseks, kui mõnes piirkonnas soojeneb vesi mugavasse 22 kraadini (Olkhon, Chivyrkuisky laht, Väike meri) ja õhutemperatuur ulatub 26–27 kraadini.
