Dunes beach
Nudist beach Dyuny is the only place of this kind in the vicinity of St. Petersburg. It is located near the same name pension on the shore of Sestroretsk. Although the beach has gained fame as a popular holiday destination for supporters of naturism and one of the 1000 best nudist beaches in the world, there are also sites on its long coast for vacationers who do not want to bare their bodies. So this beach, despite the name, is a universal and very popular vacation place in the vicinity of St. Petersburg.

The first supporters of naturism on this long and wide sandy coast appeared in the 60s 20 century. Although this place from the beginning of the 90s. has the official status of a recognized nudist beach, disputes over it still do not cease, and attempts are being made to get rid of beach lovers naked here.
Despite this fact, there are always enough supporters of naturism and ordinary vacationers in swimsuits and swimming trunks. For each of them there is separate vacation zone on the coast.
This coast is especially popular due to number of factors.
- The wide sandy coast with pure coarse sand of golden shade and surrounded by a pine forest is ideal for sunbathing, meditation and hiking with a view of beautiful coastal landscapes.
- Entry into the water, as on most Sestroretsk beaches, is very sloping here, and the bottom is sandy. Depth is higher than knee-deep, begins at a significant distance from the coast.
- Considering such characteristics, the beach is suitable for vacation with children. But it is worth to consider the probability of the formation of quite strong waves here (to minimize their destructive power a very long breakwater has been built here), when it is better not to enter the water at all.
Although the cleanliness of the local waters does not correspond to sanitary standards (active flowering begins in late July) and swimming on the Dyuny beach is officially prohibited, it still does not stop those who wish to swim. Therefore, on the expanses of the beach you can see adults and children. Although there are less of the in the water than on the shore. Despite the very limited coastal infrastructure, a lot of vacationers gather here during the season (especially on weekends).
When is better to go?

Infrastructure
This beach has a partially developed infrastructure that provides basic amenities. If you are going to stay here, it is worth to consider such features of the coast.
- Toilets on the shore are available, but focus only on a limited area. With considerable length of the beach, this presents certain difficulties for those who have found places on the shore far from the center of "civilization."
- There are no changing cabins - apparently, it is calculated affection of the overwhelming majority of vacationers among admirers of naturism. There are also no showers. Umbrellas and sunbeds are absent.
- On the shore there are volleyball courts and slides for children equipped.
- In the center of the beach there is a normal cafe where you can have a meal. On weekends, music plays there and dances are arranged. There is also an ice cream stall on the shore.
There is no organized parking here, so those who drive their cars should leave it near the sanatorium. Those who wish to spend several days in comfort in these places should stay in a remote (1.2 km from the coast), but luxurious hotel « Skandinavia ».
