Gold beach
Zolotoy Beach in Zelenogorsk is one of the best and especially loved by and especially beloved by Petersburgers and guests of the city the coasts in the Leningrad region. It is located on the north edge of the Gulf of Finland about 60 km from St Petersburg center. The beach got its name due to the golden color of the sand dunes and the special softness of the sand here, which even with minimal infrastructure attracts a lot of vacationers, and the presence of a vast park next to it only increases its popularity.

Compared to the Laskovy Beach the coast here is small - only 400 m, but rather vast (up to 120 m wide). The shore is covered by fine light sand of golden shade, which warms up very well to a considerable depth and allows you to take sand baths here. The beach is surrounded by coniferous forest, which in combination with sea air provides good conditions for the prevention of respiratory diseases when resting here.
Among other characteristics there are several significant nuances.
- Unlike a number of other beaches in the vicinity of St. Petersburg, it is quite deep, although there is a significant area of shallow water near the shore and entry into the water is quite sloping. Therefore, those who want to avoid the "frog" beaches and to dive should visit this coast of Zelenogorsk.
- The bottom is sandy and flat, water is clean and very clear, so you can snorkeling, if not one nuance.
- As on most beaches of the Leningrad region, swimming here is not officially recommended due to the non-correspondence of waters to all sanitary standards. But this ban rarely scares any of the vacationers who come here.
The maintenance of the coast with everything necessary for beach activities only contributes to the attractiveness of the Zolotoy Beach. On weekends, this beach is very crowded, so those who want to enjoy relative calm should come here on weekdays.
When is better to go?
Baltička obala nije najtoplije mjesto s obzirom na temperaturu zraka ili temperaturu vode. Međutim, od jula do septembra dolazi najtopliji i najudobniji period na Baltiku: petnaest stepeni Celzijusa bit će stabilna oznaka. Ali zapamtite da bi u kasno proljeće - rano ljeto Baltičko more moglo "procvjetati" zbog obilja planktona: voda postaje mutna i zasićena zelena. Tokom ovog perioda kupanje će biti nesigurno i prilično neprijatno.

Infrastructure
A certain range of services is available for vacationers on the beach, which is presented by:
- benches for rest, located along the coast;
- toilets, changing cabins (on the left part of the coast) and free showers (disadvantage is that there are few of them for big amount of vacationers);
- children playground installed.
The main disadvantage is in a lack of sunbeds, awnings and umbrellas. There is also no car parking here. Near the coast there are seasonal kiosks where you can buy drinks and ice cream.
You can eat denser in a cafe and restaurant located in the recreation park. You can also find some restaurants (quiet off-budget) on the eastern edge of the beach. Closest to the coast where in you can stay is the country hotel " Terijoki ", from which the beach is only 200 m.
